Nice :)

Liking the pads in the beggining. The synth stab was awesome, but I think needed to have a more subtle entry. The kick seemed to be a little bit too high pitched, the snare needed to be a little louder, and you needed some open hats on top of the closed ones.

The blend of melodies work well, but the 4th melody repeat (with the higher melody on the end) kinda stuck out a little.

A good composition, just need to do a few more things to it to make it a little better.

Wow.

The drums are great in the intro. Sounds like an epic army battle, where everyone just gets obliterated.

The actual uptempo drumloop is fantastic. The bass is amazing too, and the two fit together great. You clearly have a lot of experience in making music in this genre, and this track shows it.

Great job!

You should get the full version of FL.

This song proves to me that you should get it. The piano melodies are strangely relaxing over the top of the rain noise in the background, and suits the weather outside right now (snowy).

I think if you got the full version of FL you'd benefit really well from it. The drumloops sounds quite nice, but I think the open hat should be changed into a closed hat. The background synth is nice and relaxing, and kinda makes me think of a slow motion olympic runner.

If you get the full version of FL9 (I reccomend the boxed XXL version) however, you could really improve your skills and take your already good compositions to the next level.

Very well composed piece, I like this one a lot. Let me know if you upload anything else.

Thanks a lot for the support man! I'm going to have a guitarist joining me after the holidays and we should be adding some guitar to the past few ambient tracks I have done. He has a really awesome delay pedal we are going to run through my halfstack, so we should have some really interesting guitar to add to the stuff.

I'll stay in touch with updates. If you would like to collab or work together anytime just let me know. You seem to have a knack for mixing, of which I still don't have much of a knowledge of.

And...I did manage to get hold of a copy of the FL 9.7 beta, so I will have fun!

Edit: Life gets in the way of shit. But still working on stuff.

Dreamy?

The melodies all flow together nicely. The pad sweep sounds nice as well, and it all flows it along. I think that a piano melody over the top of it would suit it quite nicely as well.

Sounds really nice though, I hope someone uses this in a game, it would suit it perfectly in a cloud level/dream world level.

Thanks :) I thought about going for a piano melody too, but I wanted to deliberately keep it in the background. Also, I have a tendency to overdo things by adding too much instrumentation, so I thought I would go in the other direction.

Energetic or what?

The drums and synth snippets in the start were very similar to your Above and Beyond/ Armin intro. The vocal cuts in the background sounded nice, and the buildup was good as well.

The bass sounds fantastic, again, very A&Bish and kinda generic, but still sounds nice. The drums sounded nice as well.

I think at 1:40-ish there should have been more than the arp melody and the vocal snippet. I'm thing like a string pad or an extra layer of drums. The Bass changing melody in that section was pretty cool as well.

The drop out for the drums and the bass was great. The synth lead that follows is fantastic.

Nice sounding trance track, good to hear NG trance again (Oh man, I've missed it!)

Good job with this remix

hmm

The piano in the start with a few notes could have done with some more reverb on it to help fill the gaps between notes. But as a composition, this sounds very nicely done. Sounds a lot more relaxing than most NG tracks. I think that there needed to be some faster piano melodies come in at the minute mark however, just so the listener didn't get too bored.

You could really take that first minute and change it into a completely different track, you know. Perhaps change it from minor to major, increase the amount of notes, add more chords, broken chords, whatever, you clearly know how to compose well, but I think theres a lot more work that this track needs.

Its nice as it is for perhaps a brief soundtrack, but I think you do need to add some more things to it to get it into flashes for the whole length.

Stephen,
I would like to thank you for the constructive criticism. Keyword "constructive," unlike some douche-bags who zero bomb a song because they aren't a fan of the style.

I agree, it could use a little more composition and reverb to make the song more "whole." I am currently using the demo of FL9, sooooooooo, around 2 to 3 hours into composition I get tired of editing and I usually just say fuck it and export the mp3, as I cannot save a .flp file with the demo. When I can get some full fledged software (I know I can pirate it, but I choose not to) I will definitely take my time with my tracks.

Thanks a lot man!

Awesome :)

The light melodies all blending together make this a really nice, happy track, kinda floaty in a way. I liked the various blend of melodies in this track, sounds more like a hands up track than a hands up track me, but I geuss theres no hands up genre, so I can't blame you for that. I think it needed a more distinct bassline, and a few more changes in melody to make it better, but its a good track nonetheless.

Nice one.

Nice

The drums are nice and punchy. Has a nice halloween feel to it. The bass is a great agressive one, and has almost a glitch feel to it. I'd send this to the record labels if I were you, this could be a real awesome thing to play on huge speakers.
I would suggest getting a rapper on this as well, might improve the track and take it in another direction. You could also add some DNB drums into it at parts as well, but I wasn't expecting to see so much in the space of a minute anyway. Nice work in progress, but I think everyone listening to this wants more.. I'm no exception.

Long time no hear!

Well, I have to apologise for not reviewing this earlier. I first heard this about two years ago, and the main melody has been floating around in my head for the whole time.. sadly, its title and your name didn't stick, so until now I haven't been able to listen to it again..

Now its on my laptops hard drive.

This is a really well produced the guitar sound/melody is beautifully harmonic with the background bass, pads, and strings. The whole combination of sounds really takes you to another dimension, especially when you have headphones on. The quiet electric guitar lead in the middle seemed ot have a nice emotional feel to it, almost like remeniscing about the past in a way.
The drums are pretty generic for this genre, but I wouldn't have them any other way with a song like this. The snare builds and crashes are nice and strong, the kick isn't to over powering, and the claps don't hang on for the whole 8 steps they are there for.
Plenty of variations in the melodies throughout the track make it feel less monotonous.
Plus you had help from Paragon, which also makes this song awesome.

I know this is going to sound really strange, but thank you for making this song. Its like I have an attatchment with it, and my life has been made better by hearing it.
