LOVE IT!

Arguably one of the most relaxing songs I've heard on newgrounds. Everything flows so smoothly without every feeling the slightest bit uncomfortable, I wanna listen to this for a long, long time.

Thanks for uploading, I know I'm going to be putting the download to good use!

Fav'd + downloaded.

Twice now.

Twice I've found your music through the featured song section in the audio portal.
Twice I've been amazed by the outstanding quality of work.
Twice I've made a 10/10 review on your beats.

And sadly you can't add a favourite artist more than once.

Solid beat though, really really liked the feel to this track. Epic vocal slicing, fantastic drum samples/arrangement, excellent bass.

One of the best reviews I've ever gotten. Thank you!

Heard this on the radio chat

A truly awesome peice of work! Great sounding drums mix perfectly with some really nice pike/arp melodies, the middle eastern synth/sample fits really well with the whole thing, and I can't think of any flaws in this track.

It sounds awesome, to say the least.

Really good job with this one!

Nice one :D

Some really nice synthwork in this track, a really nice fusion of sounds for the most part. However, I think you need to choose your drum sounds a bit differently. The drum sounds in the intro sound pretty good, but they could be improved. The kick sounds pretty good, as does the snare, but I think that you might want to try messing about with sidechaining (making the other synths get quieter as the kick gets louder), but its not essentially and it still sounds pretty good without it.
Some really nice sounding all the synths though, especially around the 1:30 mark, that sounds like it took you a lot of time to do, and theres a whole ton of breakdowns in this track that sound really awesome.

The VST sounds sound pretty nice. If you're looking for more FX plugins, take a look into dblue glitch: it can make some really awesome experimental effects. But fabfilter is pretty awesome :D

grooveT3K responds:

Hey mate!
Glitch is an intersting little piece of gear, I enjoy playing with it when im out of ideas.
As for sidechaining I have applied it on almost every synth, it might not jump straight out because it is rather subtle compared to how much I would normally apply and the size of the sound wave of the main kick I used leaves little room for a big wooshing sidechain.
The break down at 1:30 has about 6 seperate automation clips to make that effect and it did take a while to get it to a level I was happy with.
Thanks for taking the time to listen and review my track, I appreciate all the feedback and support!

Cheers mate!

Awesome

Really nice sounds at the start. Great bunch of melodies all in there. The drums were at the right volume. Not really too much to say on it. I reccomend that the bass fades in during the intro rather than bieng there from the start so we can enjoy the percssion and pads more.

Keep up the good work, and please message me if and when you upload the full version, cause I'd love to hear it.

Heres some help

Make sure that the vocals are at the correct tempo. You'll find that it'll all sound a lot better if the acapella is in sync with the rest of it. The synth melody (taken from the original) has a nice sound to it. The wobbles sound quite dark, really overpowering, which is a good thing in this song. At the start, however, the wobble synths don't really fit with the rest of the song, and it might be an idea to leave them out until the drop.

I can tell you're trying really hard though, the wobbles sounded like they took you a while to do, and my only advice regarding them is that they should really be louder than synth melody.

Nice try though, please don't take my review as an insult, I'm just trying to give you a little advice.

Already sounds like a radio version to me.

Unless radio listeners have ADD and can't hang on for a buildup which is less than a minute long, this song is perfect for radio stuff. Really like the opening drums and wobble synth. Really danceable track: I've always been inspired by your stuff but never been able to get it anywhere near as club-ish, it seems like my stuff is too wierd to dance too xD
But I've got a lot of respect for you Envy. You have a really distinct style that we all know is you, but every single one of your songs still sounds different.
Compare this and heaven road. You can tell its the same guy, but the songs are completely different.
I don't think theres too much bass. My neighbours might disagree though.
Anyways, cheap jokes aside, its great to see (hear) something new from you Envy, and, as always, its a pleasure to listen to your songs.

I sort of lost my interest in dance music in late 2009, yet somehow I'm still fist pumping and partyboying like a retard everytime I hear something from you :D

I like the sound of this!

Like the fact it doesn't start instantly, makes it feel a lot more natural. The guitar playing sounds nice, the drums sound good, like the vocals a lot, only thing I dislike is the length.. but who am I to talk about length when half my tracks are extremely short :D

This was a great listen!

Doumaaa responds:

Hey thanks a bunch! :) You're not the first one to mention the length, all my friends tell me the same. But these things just come out of the blue, I record them in like half an hour and they're done. Like most of the stuff I upload. The songs that are long are the ones I really work on.

D.

Far better without the white noise snare, glad you took the advice on board.

(Also, the drums are far more energetic in this one, and it just sounds more video game-ish because of that :D)

Nice one!

Normally, I tend to avoid voice acting things, but I found the flash hilarious, I really like the way you've given axman13 a posh voice, while making epic mispronounciations.

I'm a 16 year old from the UK, who has a tendency to make electronic music.
