It's like in real life. People like unce unce more than classical music outside newgrounds as well. As such, this is not strange.
What is a better thing to discuss is to *why* is this so, that our current music tastes are like that.
Classic music, as I recall some some scientists saying, requires a certain type of intelligence to be "edible" by the mind, thus feel it.
Music psychology. Interesting subject.
I believe the best compromise solution is to mix genres for the best effect. =)

Nah, I'm not asking as to why people prefer some genres over others: if I was I'd be hypocritical (although the way I've typed it it looks like it is, so my mistake there) I can appreciate current musical tastes, considering I'm a pretty big Drum and Bass addict, with a tendency to listen to everything electronic, so me defending classical music actually seems a bit bizzare.
No, I'm not asking why people dislike the genres, but moreso why they feel the need to hate it without a reason. If people dislike something, and then tell me why it sucks, I'm happy.
As for mixing genres, I do, its fun, and its awesome. Thus: DNB JAZZ DUBSTEP TRANCE CRAP FTW! :D

They don't rate down songs of certain genres. They rate down everything. And when you make newsposts whining about your music being voted down, they'll only do it more.
