Solid production.

An excellently put together track. Love the blend of sounds. Brilliant sounding bass to me, nice sounding synths if a bit repetetive. Only thing I feel its missing is some open hats to fill the gap and acompany the off beat bass.

Keep up the good work :D

Thanks!

Definatly now!

Yes, gonna buy it whenever it is released. this sounds brillaint! :D

Nice attempt, heres some advice

The piano melody is quite nice, but it feels quite empty due to the fairly cheap sound of the piano. It might need some reverb on there to make it feel a bit more full, perhaps even a 3 step delay. The second synth feels out of place given that its a classical piece; it would much better fit in a dance track. The third instrument (rhodes/EP?) sounds really out of place as well. Nice, but not for classical music.

Its also a bit monotonous, but the changes were enough to keep my attention for the whole piece.

So basically;
Use instruments that are more closely associated with classical (IE Strings, brass etc)
OR
You could completely change the direction of this track. Add a simple 4 step kick pattern, with a clap on the second and 4th kick, as well as some deadmau5 style bass, you could have an interesting sounding dance/house track out of this if you wanted.

Definatly a good attempt though, keep at it! :)

Love it!

Brilliant pad/piano intro, brilliantly atmospheric, perfect for a rainy day or snowy night; which I'm seeing a lot of at the moment, so its right up my alley. Despite me being a mostly electronica/Drum and bass enthusiast, this song is beautiful. No other word, just beautiful. Brilliant sounding guitar, excellent build with the rythm guitar and drumloop. 2 minutes into this track and into this review, I'm more relaxed than I have been for about the past month or so. You've accomplished something brilliant here.

This isn't just another little wannabe rock song where some random FL Studio user thinks the REFX Slayer sound is cool and then slams a random note on the keyboard, as I see so often on sites like Newgrounds; no, this is, in my opinion, an artistic masterpiece.

Brilliant in ways I can hardly describe.

Needs a bit of work

the problem with this track is how it feels somewhat random for the most part. It feels like it needs to be a part of a proper scale. If I were you, I'd study the major scales and write a song based off those first. The faster melody that comes in towards the end feels like it might be part of something, but it feels empty without any form of backing instruments, such as pads, synths, keys; anything that goes along with a typical DNB track.

Also, you're gonna wanna add in a drumloop. For DNB, its pretty easy to make, you just need a kick drum and a snare drum, and place them like so on your sequencer.

X = Where the sound is placed.
- = gap.

Kick: X--- ---- --X- ----
Snare: ---- X--- ---- X---

Which should result in your typical pendulum drum loop.

The bass sound itself is OK, but sounds cheap by itself. If put with other sounds, you could actually make a pretty nice sounding track from it.

Keep practicing though, I'm certain you'll get a lot better if you keep working towards your goals.

Absolutely brilliant.

Didn't think I could get sentimental over a little happy techno-trance tune, but you've managed it.

For me, this just brings back such a sense of nostalgia. Back in 2008, three years ago, this is the sort of thing I used to listen to, the sort of stuff I aspired to make. I then moved away from this style and moved more over to drum and bass/chillout, stuff that felt more serious. Hearing this just brings back the memories of what I wanted to be, and I gotta say, its absolutely amazing.

This is an absolutely outstanding track, with an amazing sound to it, even though its just a 25 second preview.

Please inbox me if and when you release the album, I'd love to get a copy of it, but knowing my luck I'd probably forget.

Absolutely brilliant :D

Excellent

Inside and out of the game, this song is fantastic. It fits the whole darker feel of Alice is dead, and shows off your vocal ability. The whole modern club feel that others have mentioned is exactly right. They couldn't have chosen a better song for that section of the game.

Excellent work, a definite favourite.

Epic

Legitimatly one of the happiest sounding songs I've ever heard, brilliant sounding song, it all fits together really well, nice blend of sounds and a catchy melody.

Brilliant :D

I still love this.

I heard this when it was still quite a new song. Never dropped a review, but forgot the name of it. Then I suddenly remembered it, seatched, and I'm glad it's still here. Really awesome beat, great originality, purely awesome.
Such a shame its only two minutes long though.

Nice!

Fantastic use of sounds and pads in this. The destructiveness of the fx samples works really well with the less destructive pads and synth melody. The kick seems a bit a quiet in parts the. The second keyboard/synth melody sounds really nice, but one of the sounds doesn't quite work with it.

Nontheless, really nice composition, I really enjoyed it!

DXVanille responds:

Glad you enjoyed it, and especially glad of the great feedback!
